Florida Bar Foundation
The Florida Bar Foundation supports systemic advocacy and litigation to prevent the loss of affordable housing units and to support the development of new affordable housing units.
Florida Community Loan Fund (FCLF)
FCLF provides flexible capital and technical assistance to nonprofit organizations engaged in affordable housing projects, economic development efforts, nonprofit community facilities and essential social services.
John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation
The MacArthur Foundation supports the Window of Opportunity initiative, which seeks to preserve the stock of affordable rental housing, and a comprehensive research program on how housing matters to families and communities.
The Kregse Foundation supports work that creates access and opportunity in underserved communities.
Bank of America
Bank of America’s community development lending and investment initiative focuses on affordable housing, small business, consumer loans, and economic development. Bank of America also offers local and national grant-making programs.
Citi Community Development works to expand the access of underserved people and communities to financial products and services through funding, innovative financial services, and collaboration.
Chase Community Development Banking makes loans and investments that benefit low- and moderate-income communities, in affordable housing, small businesses, and through New Markets Tax Credits.
Wells Fargo’s community development initiatives include their Housing Foundation and community reinvestment activities.
Miami-Dade County – Affordable Housing Surtax Program
Surtax provides affordable rental and homeownership opportunities to low and moderate income residents of Miami-Dade County.
State of Florida – State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program
SHIP provides funds to local governments as an incentive to create partnerships that produce and preserve affordable homeownership and multifamily housing for very low, low, and moderate income families.
US HUD – Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
CDBG provides economic development capital for low- and moderate-income communities and plays a critical part in strengthening infrastructure, creating jobs, and supporting affordable housing.
US HUD – HOME Investment Partnerships Program
HOME allows local governments to partner with private and non-profit developers to increase the supply of affordable housing.
US HUD – Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP)
NSP provides local governments and non-profits with resources for restoring neighborhood real estate markets to health and rebuilding communities.
US HUD – Housing Counseling Program
The Housing Counseling Program helps to ensure that consumers are educated in the homebuying process to avoid predatory and unwise mortgages.
US HUD – Section 202
Section 202 provides support for the production of new housing for seniors.
US Treasury – Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund
The CDFI Fund provides capital to local lending institutions that support small business and the development of affordable housing.
US Small Business Administration – Microloan Program
Funds from the Microloan Program are directly invested in small businesses.
US Small Business Administration – PRIME Program
PRIME supports the delivery of technical assistance to owners of small businesses.
US Small Business Administration – Women’s Business Center (WBC)
The WBC program provides technical assistance to small businesses. The design of this program is especially well suited for reaching a targeted set of woman-owned, underserved small businesses.
US HHS, Office of Community Services – Community and Economic Development (CED) Program
CED grants support job creation projects in low-income communities and require grantees to use sustainable, market-based approaches.
USDA – 502 Direct Loan Program
In many rural communities, the 502 Direct Loan Program is the only responsible loan product available to low-income homebuyers.
